This acquisition strengthens the capability of Gulfeagle Supply and Elite Roofing Supply to serve a wider market of residential and commercial roofing professionals nationwide. Elite’s existing branch network complements Gulfeagle Supply’s locations with minimal overlap. The combined group will provide a seamless blend of local engagement and national reach.

Strategic move set to create the fourth-largest distributor in the nation

April 29, 2024, Tampa, FL – Florida-based Gulfeagle Supply has entered into an agreement to acquire Elite Roofing Supply, a prominent roofing distributor based out of Phoenix, Ariz. Elite has 26 branches and was founded 11 years ago.

The transaction is expected to close June 2024, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Financial details were not disclosed. With completion of the acquisition, the partnership will result in a combined total of 141 branches nationwide, making it the fourth-largest distribution in the United States.

Gulfeagle Supply Announces Leadership Changes for Continued Growth

[TAMPA, Fla., July 11, 2023] — Gulfeagle Supply announces changes in leadership following Doug Stringfellow’s upcoming retirement. Brad Powers was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Operations for the Southeast. Bill Wilson was named Vice President of Sales and Operations for the West (including California).

Stringfellow plans to retire this Fall and help during the transition in leadership. Stringfellow has been with Gulfeagle Supply since the acquisition of his family’s distribution company in 1995. Stringfellow has played a vital role in Gulfeagle’s growth and success over the past 28 years with the company.

Ben Zwolski was promoted to Regional Manager for North and Central Florida to fill Power’s previous role. Zwolski has been with Gulfeagle for over 20 years, most recently as the Longwood Branch Manager.

Kurt Schwahn will now oversee both sales and operations as Executive Vice President of Sales and Operations for the company.
